Maxwell will join captain-coach Josh Thompson in Wagga City's 150 game club when the Cats take on Saint Michaels at McPherson Oval on Saturday.
Maxwell prepared for the milestone with another title at the Cats in last week's Twenty20 final win over Wagga RSL.
It was another premiership in a successful career to date for the 30-year-old.
"It was unreal the other night, the way the boys put it all together. Jono (Nicoll) and Richie (Turner) were fantastic," Maxwell said.
"It's pretty impressive the way the club's changed in the time I've been here. From being the bottom of the bottom to now sitting pretty good. The culture of the club is pretty good."
Maxwell arrived at Wagga City from Young back in the 2010-11 season and has gone on to become a four-time premiership and three-time Twenty20 premiership player at the club.
He sits third in Wagga City's all-time run-scoring list with over 3000 runs and is fourth on the wicket-taker's list with 100 wickets.
Maxwell has also represented Wagga and Riverina.
"I'm really happy with how everything's panned out," he said.
"The club has a lot of good young guys coming through now and the way Jono (Nicoll) has slotted in too has been really good."
Wagga City president Owen Thompson had high praise for Maxwell.
"Maxy is an important cog in how the Cats have been able to climb the ladder of on-field success over the period he has been involved," Thompson said.
"He is a great clubman around his team mates, who plays the game in the right spirit. There wouldn't be to many that play against him that don't enjoy his company as well. He's liked by all.
"He is a great player and even better bloke."
The Cats will be out to retain their position on top of the ladder when they take on the Saints. Maxwell expects them to be tough.
"I think they'll be a good challenge," he said.
"Guys like Beck Frostick, the Reynolds boys, Dave Garness are all really handy."
Maxwell said it is important the Cats don't get ahead of themselves as they chase back-to-back flags.
