After a loss to Wagga RSL to start in the shortened format, the Blues looked in trouble of slipping behind the pack up against winless St Michaels on Wednesday night.
Chasing 124 for victory, the Blues were in early trouble at Geoff Lawson Oval.
However Mitch Sykes (20 not out) and Alex Jones (20 not out) backed up some promising middle order batting from Brayden Ambler (31) and Luke Gerhard to (24) secure the four-wicket win with 11 balls to spare.
After missing the first two matches captain Luke Gerhard was thrilled with how the side kept their heads to bring up their second straight win.
"It's probably the luxury of having a good batting line up with a lot of depth," Gerhard said. "With Sykesy and Jonesy coming in late it really sealed it.
"It was looking a little shaky through the middle there but a couple little partnerships helped us."
St Michaels got off to a good start with the bat as captain Beck Frostick (30), Ryan Forsyth (30) and Mick Cattell (20) , however they lost their momentum with their inexperienced middle order.
Jack Reynolds (18) was the only other batsmen to reach double figures as Saints lost 4-29 to finish their 20 overs at 6-123.
Gerhard was pleased with how the Blues got things back under control with the ball.
"I thought we bowled really well," he said.
"I thought Blake Harper bowled really well, we probably lacked a little in the field but 120 was probably about par.
"With Beck and Ryan through the middle, if that partnership had of gone two or three more overs we would have been chasing 140 so to get them out was pretty pleasing."
Sykes was the pick of the bowlers finishing his four overs with 2-11 after removing Cattell and Reynolds.
However it was Adam Whitbread who delivered the breakthrough with a catch off his own bowling to remove Frostick.
With a clash against Lake Albert at Robertson Oval on Saturday before taking on ladder leaders Wagga City on Tuesday, Gerhard is looking to extend their winning run to qualify for the final next week.
"We can't afford to lose anymore and I think it is pretty exciting to play midweek Twenty20s," he said.
"It is something we've never done and it has been good."
Meanwhile St Michaels will be looking to get on the board when they tackle Wagga City on Saturday before their last match against Wagga RSL on Sunday.
