Andre Iro is the latest new face to sign on with the Wagga club as they look to rise up the ladder.
Iro, the son of former New Zealand international Kevin, was originally set to return to Cootamundra last year before the Bulldogs elected to sit out the competition.
Instead he joined Junee where he struggled with injury problems.
It's one thing the 25-year-old hopes will change after making the move to Kangaroos.
"I wanted to test myself in Group Nine this season as I only ended up playing four games through injury," Iro said. "I've been jumping around (clubs) but I'm hoping I'll be able to play a few seasons at 'Roos and finding a home there."
Iro first played in Group Nine with Cootamundra as a teenager in 2014 and admitted there have been plenty of changes since then.
He hopes he gets a better chance to show his improvement this time around.
"The first time I played Group Nine I was only 18 and it was my first year of playing league actually," Iro said.
"I was all new to it but I'm a bit more experienced now so hopefully it all goes good this season."
Iro's signature comes after Brayden Sharrock and Luke Ingram have come on board for this season.
He's also excited that former Diesels teammate Dakota Ruta has also moved across.
"I was with staying him at Junee and with him going to Roos it made me want to go there a bit more as well," Iro said.
Boosting their size is one thing president Peter Hurst has been working on to take on the likes of Gundagai, Tumut and Young.
"We're trying to make sure we will be competitive in that forward pack," Hurst said.
"We've got to get in the wrestle and maintain our go forward."
With that in mind, Hurst is thrilled to have Iro on board.
"He actually came to training with us last year and was talking to us originally," he said. "He's a quality player with good skills who is big, strong and adds a bit of power to our forward pack."
