The total fire ban will take effect for the Wagga, Coolamon, Junee, Albury, Lockhart and Greater Hume local government areas.
Due to these conditions, the Eastern Riverina's fire danger risk is set at very high.
The Rural Fire Service's rules state that during a Total Fire Ban no fire can be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended.
It is advised people remain vigilant, follow their Bushfire Survival Plan and stay informed when regions are under severe or very high fire conditions.
