A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Bourke Street, near Red Hill Road just after 6.30 on Saturday evening.
The spokesperson said the driver was in a serious, but stable condition and that the roads surrounding the site had been closed.
While Live Traffic shows no reports of road closures, Bourke Street is closed at Red Hill Road.
Drivers should be cautious and follow any directions.
The incident comes on day three of the police's state-wide operation to crack down on unsafe drivers.
Double-demerit points are in force for speeding, seatbelt, mobile phone and motorcycle helmet offences until 11.59pm on January 3.
