The recently-upgraded facility will host Richmond and Western Bulldogs on Saturday, February 27 at 4.40pm.
Wagga played host to a game between Richmond and Greater Western Sydney (GWS) this year at Robertson Oval, with Albury winning the rights to the next opportunity with the AFL keen to show off the new-look multi-million dollar facility.
The game will attract huge interest as Richmond step out for the first time since winning this year's premiership with a grand final victory over Geelong at the Gabba.
The Bulldogs have also enjoyed a lot of the limelight over the off-season and the Albury game could be the first chance to see Adam Treloar in his new Bulldogs' colours.
AFL executive general manager of broadcasting Travis Auld is looking forward to taking games to regional communities.
"Our two objectives for the pre-season fixture are to give clubs the best opportunity to prepare ahead of the season and to take matches to supporters in local and regional communities," Auld said
"The AFL Community Series will see football played at local grounds right across the country and we are really looking forward to connecting the elite men's game to regional and suburban footy grounds, allowing fans to be able to watch their teams in action in their own backyard.
"This Series celebrates the important role Australian Football plays in each community and the impact the game has on local businesses and people who support and love the game."
The 2021 AFL Community Series will see all clubs play two games across a three-week period from February 18 to March 7.
Manuka Oval in Canberra will also host a pre-season game between the Giants and Essendon.
