The 26-year-old will get his second taste of AFL Riverina when he links up with the Bulldogs after making a big impact in one previous season in the Farrer League at Temora.
Camp won Ainslie's best and fairest in AFL Canberra this season and has been the subject of heavy interest from a number of Riverina League clubs in recent years.
Playing alongside good mates Mitch Ward and Shaun Allan at Turvey Park was a major drawcard, as was the direction the Bulldogs are headed under new coach Mick Mazzocchi.
"It was a couple of things. 'Zoc' presented himself really well and I'm really excited by what's going on at the club and what he's got planned," Camp said.
"I've got family down that way, who always wanted me to go and play at Turvey, and a couple of boys that are coming down I'm quite good mates with so I'm excited to play with them too.
"It was a good fit."
Camp joined Temora early in the 2017 season and played a big part in the club's rise to a grand final appearance, finishing runner up in the Kangaroos' best and fairest.
He returned to Ainslie for the past three seasons, representing AFL Canberra and this year taking out the Tri-Colours' best and fairest.
Mazzocchi is thrilled to welcome Camp to Maher Oval.
"He's obviously a 26-year-old elite on-baller. I'm looking for him to give us that real top-end classy midfielder. He's a really fit guy, accumulates the footy and will cover the big grounds like Maher Oval, Robbo Oval and Narrandera really well," Mazzocchi said.
"He's definitely that classy top-end midfielder. The other guys we've recruited have been bigger bodies to throw around our younger kids to help them develop. He's coming into the prime of his career for the next two or three years and he'll add some real class and depth to our midfield."
Mazzocchi believes Camp's arrival will boost the Bulldogs in a number of aspects.
"What it does is strengthen our flanks and pockets up," he said.
"When Yates and Camp rotate out of the midfield, they'll go to a flank and give us some class on the outside. It strengthens our depth and will make everyone train that little bit harder to earn their spot. We should have everyone pushing that little bit harder.
"He'll help build that culture of expecting to win games. That's probably one area Turvey are still working on is going into games expecting to win. These new guys will be going in expecting to win and that will help build that culture."
Camp is also looking forward to being a leader at Turvey Park, who have been developing a young list in recent seasons.
"I'm looking forward to that. The last couple of years at Ainslie I've tried to learn and build on that and I've got to a really good spot so that I'm ready for the next stage, looking at leadership roles and things like that," Camp said.
"Speaking to Zoc, he saw that in me and hopefully I'll be able to help out with stuff in the midfield or whatever they're looking for. I'm happy to put my hand up to help the young guys with their development."
Camp joins Ward and Allan as Canberra-based recruits, while the Bulldogs have also welcomed Tom Yates and Andrew Saddler to the club.
Jeremy Sykes' is their only major on-field departure.
The Bulldogs will hold a light training session on Saturday before a Christmas get-together. They will return on January 13 to commence pre-season training.
