Schubach spent the last two seasons as on-field leader of his junior club however is weighing up his options as to where he'll take to the field in 2021.
The 26-year-old stood down as coach at the end of a disappointing season, where the Diesels scored just one win in the shortened competition to finish on the bottom of the ladder.
He doesn't expect to be at Junee next year.
"I haven't decided yet but the way it's looking I don't think Junee are fully committed to having a club," Schubach said.
"I think they might be going down the reserve grade side so I'm not 100 per cent which way it is going to go yet."
Schubach admitted he was looking for a change and the Diesels' current position hasn't helped.
He didn't attend their players meeting last week, which garnered little support, and left officials considering different options.
The playmaker doesn't believe it bodes well for the club.
"They didn't have a lot of people show up," Schubach said.
"I didn't go to the meeting or anything like that but I don't think they've got a lot of numbers there.
"They are sort of relying on Fijians again but it hasn't worked in the past so I can't see it working again."

Schubach isn't confident applying to only fill a reserve grade, leaguetag and Weissel Cup side, which is currently an option being considered, will work for the club in either the short or long term.
Especially after securing a number of experienced players from other sides shortly before the season got under way this year.
"I think it's pushing shit uphill," he said.
"They are going to try everything you can but I don't know if they even have enough to fill one side let alone two.
"They have to do what they have to do."
Junee have a new committee as well with Simon Vanzanten resigning as president during the season while Geoff Bush didn't stand as secretary again.
New president Phil Holt admitted the club is struggling.
"We're chasing but we are going to put the wheels back on the cart," Holt said.
"At the moment we are concentrating on getting a first grade coach and then a lot of other issues will be sorted out from that."
While yet to commit to a new club, Schubach expects to remain playing in the region.
"I won't be playing for Junee but I haven't decided fully," he said.
"I didn't really want to travel so it will probably be around here somewhere."
Junee will hold a committee meeting on Wednesday as they look to work through their current situation.
