After winning her heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge series at Young in September the three-year-old filly appreciated a return to Riverina racing.
Coming off two unplaced efforts at Menangle, Roll A Dream swamped her rivals late to take out the first of two Breeders Challenge Regional heats for her age group.
After getting everything to suit there was only one thing Temora trainer Ray Walker would change.
"It's just a pity it wasn't the final," Walker said.
"It would have been good to blouse them like that."
The group three final at Riverina Paceway next week is her next mission after the daughter of Roll With Joe.
However Walker won't go in with the same level of confidence believing the tempo really needs to suit in order for Roll A Dream to excel at that level.
"They just ran one quarter too slow at Menangle and she got on the bit," he said.
"She has to be off the bit for some reason and if she grabs the bit you know they are going too slow.
"That is her ninth win since March and that's not a bad effort for a three-year-old filly."
Gee Gee Blinxs joined Roll A Dream in the final by taking out the next heat for Wayne Sullivan.
The pair finished one-two at Young in their last meeting, with Gee Gee Blinxs also coming from back in the pack to bring up her third career win.
Meanwhile Rock Fisherman made the trip from Bathurst worthwhile for Doug Hewitt.
Driving for father Bernie, Rock Fisherman held off a late charge from an unlucky Mammals Prince to take out the three-year-old colts and geldings heat.
After making a mistake in the Bathurst heat last week, Rock Fisherman was back on his best behaviour after holding out an early battle for the front.
Hewitt was pleased to hit back.
"We came here with a bit of an expectation of him as we do like him and he's just getting better and better each week," Hewitt said.
"I didn't know how we would go with the favourite in the race a pretty nice horse himself but we got the upper hand with the inside draw and it made it much easier."
Rock Fisherman ($2.80) took advantage of the two draw to hold Pelican Fly ($1.80 fav) out early before fending off the second David Kennedy runner Mammals Prince ($17) to win by a neck.
Clocking a fast mile rate of 1:53.4, Hewitt believes the son of Pet Rock is starting to deliver on his promise.
"It is the quickest time he has run by a long way out in front doing it all by himself and it just shows where he is at as a horse," he said.
"Coming into the four-year-old second we always thought he was too big to be a two-year-old or three-year-old but he is starting to fill out now and put it all on the track."
Riverina Paceway plays host to four group three finals next Friday.
