A young woman is fighting for her life after being knocked down by one car and then hit by another at the weekend, with police launching an urgent call for dashcam footage.

The 20-year-old woman was walking down a suburban street in the early hours of Saturday morning when tragedy struck, police said.
Emergency services were called to Fernleigh Road, near Glenfield Road, around 2am to reports of a woman having been struck by two vehicles.
She was initially struck by a Nissan Patrol, causing her to fall to the ground, police said.
The 19-year-old driver of the car and his passenger stopped to help the woman, before another vehicle hit her and then disappeared, failing to stop.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to Wagga Base Hospital in a serious condition.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said she had a significant laceration to her face and hip.
Paramedics took spinal precautions when treating her and said she had suspected upper leg injuries.
The woman was taken to hospital and on Saturday was in a serious condition with serious head and pelvic injuries.
A spokesperson for Murrumbidgee Local Health District confirmed on Sunday the victim was in a critical but stable condition.

She was due to be transferred to Sydney in the afternoon for further treatment.
A crime scene was established and was to be examined by specialist investigators from the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit.
The driver of the Nissan Patrol was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and the vehicle was seized for further examination.
Police are urging anyone who has information or who might have dashcam footage from the area to come forward to assist their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
They are particularly seeking vision from around Fernleigh Road and surrounding streets between 1.30am and 3am on Saturday.
