Injuries have struck the club despite not having played a match yet after the round one wash out.
Andrew Dutton (shoulder), Macgregor Hanigan (quadriceps), Hayden Watling (back) and Marc Vincent (leg) are all sidelined through injury while David Bolton is also unavailable for the clash at Robertson Oval.
Captain Keenan Hanigan admitted it is far from ideal at the start of the season.
"We've got a few injuries with five of our first graders out this week," Hanigan said.
"It is one of those things that hurt us at the start of last season as well.
"It is frustrating as a captain as you would like your strongest team on the paddock but you can't help injuries.
"It is just part of sport and they are not all long term injuries and most of them will only be one to three weeks max.
"In a couple of weeks time we will be back to full strength."
However their injury concerns will allow a mix of old and new faces to get their chance in the top grade.
Dan Perri and Heath Hosie come back into the side, Jayden Beattie returns after a season off while Alex and Shaun Smith will make their debut for the club.
Hanigan is also looking forward to what Hamish Starr can bring to the club after coming across for Temora.
"He's a player to watch this year for sure," he said.
"He'll open the bowling and will probably bat four or five as well."
After an early decision was made last week to call off the opening round due to the wet weather, Hanigan is hopeful the umpires will evaluate the conditions at Robertson Oval if the predicted rainfall arrives.
"I think it should be up to the umpires and captains when everyone gets to the ground unless we have 40-50 mil overnight and it's just ridiculous," he said.
"I understand not everyone wants to stand around for four or five hours waiting but that is why we play first grade cricket.
"If you don't want to do that then second grade starts at 1pm."
