Okerenyang is the reigning under-18 All Schools Champion in the 100m, and his athletic prowess was a big factor in being one of seven players in the Greater Western Sydney Giants Academy to receive an invite.
Despite tweaking a hamstring which ruled him out of some of the testing, the 18-year-old topped the ratings in the 20-metre sprint (2.86 seconds), running vertical jump (95cm) and standing vertical jump (84cm).
Okerenyeng had surgery on his right hamstring in December, but tweaked his left hamstring at the Combine.
He has played just one game of football this year, The Riverina Anglican College's Carroll Cup grand final win over Mater Dei Catholic College.
He also has his sights set on competing in the under-20 world athletics championships in Kenya, which were slated for this year but have been postponed until 2021.
"I tweaked my hamstring again during one of the tests, but I was pretty happy with how I went given I'd only started training two weeks ago," Okerenyang said.
"It's a good base for where I can get back up to once I continue training, and see how I go.
"I'm hoping I'll run at the NSW All Schools in December to see how the hamstring I had surgery on goes."
Although it's not a dream he's actively chasing, Okerenyang said it would be something he'd have to consider if an AFL club had their eyes on him for the draft.
"It's definitely something I'd have a look at, it's not something I'd just pass by," he said.
"I have grown to love footy over the years and I'm always saying it will be my last year, but I always end up playing.
"I only played one game this year and I played on the wing, but last year for under-17s I played ruck rover for most of the year and a bit up forward."
"I'm just taking it as it comes. I'm not pushing hard to get drafted or anything although it would pretty cool."
The Rock-Yerong Creek's Jack Driscoll was also invited to take part in the Combine.
