HARRY Perryman's came agonisingly close to snaring the Greater Western Sydney Giants' best and fairest award in just his second full season on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old polled 96 votes in the Kevin Sheedy Medal to finish just two behin dual winners Nick Haynes and Lachie Whitfield.
Leeton-Whitton product Jacob Hopper finished a distant fourth on 79 votes.
Perryman led the count after five rounds thanks to a stellar start to his season, but couldn't hold off his teammates down the stretch.
The result was just acknowledgement for Perryman, who has now played 52 games since making his debut in 2017.
His form was rewarded with a new contract which will keep him at the Giants until at least the end of the 2022 season.
He averaged nearly 15 possessions per game and kicked 11 of his 15 career goals in 2020.
"I'd like to congratulation Nick and Lachie on their outstanding 2020 seasons," Giants coach Leon Cameron said.
"Lachie becomes the first player in our history to win two Sheedy Medals after another ultra-consistent season.
"I'd also like to congratulate Harry on the leaps he's taken this year, which have culminated in this well-deserved third place."
