The Bureau of Meteorology had earlier issued a severe thunderstorm warning for damaging, locally destructive winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall across Wagga, West Wyalong, Griffith and Narrandera.
The wild weather was caused by a cold front that swept through the middle of the state, bringing strong and fast-moving storms.

The clouds rolled in quickly and heavy rain hit much of Wagga just after 2pm, with hail up to the size of a 50 cent coin spotted in Central Wagga, at homes as far out as Bourkelands and Forest Hill, and on the highways into town.
The weather is forecast to settle on Tuesday with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting light winds, a 20 per cent chance of a shower and a cooler top of 18 degrees.
There is a medium to high chance of showers forecast each day for the rest of the week in Wagga, with maximum temperatures set to remain in the mid teens through to the weekend.
