Detectives from the Riverina Criminal Investigation team have released images of a maroon hatchback that is believed to have been driving south on Pearson Street at 4.30pm on August 3.
The life of a 60-year-old man was cut short when he was hit by a utility vehicle while crossing the street near Battery World and the Mercedes Benz dealership.
Police have placed a call out across social media saying the "driver and/or occupants may have witnessed the incident and have not been spoken to by investigators yet".
Anyone with information about the driver or owner of the vehicle is asked to come forward and contact Wagga Police Station on 6922 2599.
