Gundagai halfback Derek Hay and veteran centre Damian Willis have both been charged by the Group Nine match review committee and will miss the grand final unless the Tigers can successfully challenge each case.
Tumut's quest for back-to-back Group Nine premierships has also been dealt a blow with co-coach Lachlan Bristow and half-back Jordan Anderson offered two-game penalties by the match review committee.
Not only would the pair be ruled out of Sunday's preliminary final against Young, but they would also miss the grand final, should the Blues overcome the Cherrypickers.
Bristow and Hay were both charged with striking in their altercation late in last Sunday's semi-final. Bristow's was classed as medium, while Hay's was low.
Anderson was charged with a medium grade dangerous throw or spear tackle on Gundagai's Joel Field, while Willis was issued with a medium-grade striking offence on Tumut's Austin McDougall.
Both clubs have until 9am on Wednesday to submit their pleas.
Gundagai president David Tout expects the Tigers to challenge both charges in a bid to free Hay and Willis for the grand final.
"We're going to have a meeting (Wednesday night). My opinion is we'll be challenging them," Tout said.
Tumut president Bryan Black also planned to discuss the club's options on Tuesday evening.
"I'm having a meeting with Dean and 'Hook' (Bristow) this afternoon when I get back to Tumut," Black said.
"I've never had to deal with one of these before so I've honestly got no idea what to do."
Anderson, Bristow and Willis' charges were all graded at a four-game suspension base, but can be reduced to two due to clean records, and with an early guilty plea.
Hay's base penalty was a two-game suspension but can be halved with his clean record, and a guilty plea.
The potential loss of Bristow and Anderson would force Tumut into a major reshuffle of their line-up for Sunday's final against Young at Anzac Park as the Blues would require a new halfback and hooker.
