The Wanderers kept their finals hopes alive with an 8-2 trouncing of Narrabundah in Canberra on Saturday.
Griffith-based young gun Elijah Brooker enjoyed a day out, scoring the Wanderers' first four goals in the win.
The Wanderers led 3-2 at half-time but were able to find the back of the net five times in the second half to improve their all-important goal difference.
The win moved the Wanderers to third spot.
Capital Football have introduced an extra week to the competition to allow the two rescheduled games to be played on a standalone weekend.
It means the Wanderers will travel to Canberra again on Saturday to face the fourth-placed Canberra White Eagles at Woden Park, rather than having had to back up for a double header last weekend.
The Wanderers sit in third on goal difference, but are one of three clubs fighting for the final two positions in the top four.
A win over the White Eagles on Saturday would guarantee third spot.
A draw would also be enough to secure a finals place, while a loss may not necessarily knock them out, pending the result of the other game between Yoogali and ANU.
The Wanderers under 23s cemented their finals spot with a 6-0 win.
