WAGGA Cycling Club used Saturday's club championships as preparation for the state road titles, which the club will host next month.

At this stage, pending health advice, the state titles will take place at Wantabadgery and the clubs championships was a valuable test run for the 24 junior and 15 senior riders competing.
"It was one of the biggest attendances we've had in years," club coach Cameron Oke said.
"The kids raced their state distances, which varied from 3km for under-nines to 15km for under-15s.
"It's still planned for October 16 and 17, it's going to be completely governed by the NSW government and NSW Health.
"If the ban gets lifted as of October 1 in regards to regional racing it will be apositive in our direction."
Oke said the numbers for the club championships were the best for around a decade, despite some youngsters being unable to attend due to football finals.
Tyler Beruldsen won the overall men's scratch race title from Calvin Combs and Luke Nixon, while Tolland Cycling Club visitor Rebel Brooker took out the women's event.
