Sharrock hasn't played since injuring his calf in round two, but has been named to start against Kangaroos at Equex Centre as the Wagga club builds towards finals.
He's thrilled to be back as the club looks to make an impact in September after a couple of disappointing ends to their past two seasons.
"There are lots of different muscles in your calf but I tore two of them fairly ordinarily and originally I was told I wouldn't be playing again this season," Sharrock said.
"However I've done all the physio and it's managed to come good."
Brothers haven't won a finals game in almost a decade, with Sharrock part of their last win in 2011.
He's hoping the club has learnt from their finishes in the last two seasons and will be a real threat.
"If you're not first you're last," Sharrock said.
"It doesn't mean much if you are making finals and not winning them.
"You always want to try and better yourself and each season you could be as a player and a team.
"As players we should be expecting to go all the way and anything less isn't acceptable in my mind.
"You can look at injuries but every team has injuries and the best teams manage them and have the depth there to fill them."
But first he's looking to ensure Brothers get the better of their Wagga rivals for the second time this season coming off just their second loss against Tumut last week.
"We've identified some issues we had, particularly with our defence, winning the ruck and aggression," Sharrock said.
"There is no point in losing and then doing the same things, we need to work on them and improve on them.
"If we can improve on them this week then that's a positive."
Edan Price is back after injuring his hamstring in round one and will come off the bench.
There has also been good news regarding hooker Aaron Wynne.
Initially it looked like he would miss the rest of the season after copping a high shot on Saturday.
However he is hopeful of being back for the finals clash with Young next week.
"At the start it was a bit touch and go," Wynne said.
"I've got to see a doctor to get clearance and make sure it is alright but it is nothing too serious.
"It was more precautionary as it was a bit of a head knock and I took a while to get my bearings.
"Once I said my neck was a bit sore they didn't want to risk anything, which is far enough, but it has been good and I'm glad it is nothing serious."
Tyson McLachlan comes into hooker for Wynne.
