Bush came off early as the Cherrypickers downed Southcity on Sunday to secure their finals berth.
Coach Nick Hall admitted Young needs to keep winning for Bush to be a chance of returning to the field.
"He's got a fight in front of him and we need to win every game to give him a slight chance," Hall said.
"He is up against it but is a very professional guy, a good healer and is doing everything he can."
Bush is looking at four to six weeks on the sidelines.
Nic Hall returns to fullback to cover Bush with Kye Tiedemann coming in at centre for the clash with Junee at Alfred Oval on Sunday.
The coach doesn't expect the reshuffle will have too much of an impact.
"Things aren't changing too much and that is a good thing for the Cherrypickers right now," Hall said.
"We've been fairly settled all year - I've made one or two changes through the start of the year looking for balance - and that helps you get to your best footy."
Young have won two straight games coming into their clash with Junee after losses to top three teams.
While looking to continue to build momentum ahead of their finals clash with Brothers, Hall expects the Diesels will be out to spoil their plans in their final game of the season.
"I see they are saying they are going to come out for a bit of fun and I'm sure they think winning is fun," he said.
"They are a side chock-a-block full of players who are talented guys and captain-coaches from around the group.
"They are good players who have lots of pride and will be coming out to spoil our party so we will have to be very good."
