The Wanderers went down 8-0 to undefeated ladder leaders Belconnen United at Hawker Football Centre.
The Wanderers were still in the contest when down 2-0 at half-time but the floodgates opened after the break as the home team piled on another six goals.
Belconnen United shared the goals around with Jasmine Maguire the only multiple goal scorer with two.
The Wanderers remain in seventh position and face another trip to Canberra on Sunday to take on the winless Tuggeranong United, who sit in eighth.
Meantine, the Wanderers reserve grade team also went down 8-0 to Belconnen United in Canberra.
The games went ahead given they were on the synthetic Hawker Football Centre surface, while the Wanderers' mens games were called off due to the ACT Government's decision to close all turf grounds.
