News Girl has been given 66 kilograms for Thursday's feature sprint, with stablemate Front Page also given a heavy impost of 63kg.
The big weights mean the pair are unlikely to head that way as Duryea searches for a suitable race to kick off the pair's campaign.
Front Page is the $4.50 favourite for the $1.3 million Kosciuszko but Duryea is unsure whether he will get him and News Girl to the race due to the restrictions around crossing the border.
The Theresa Bateup-trained Golly I'm Lucky was next in the weights with 61kg.
The showcase meeting will see $245,000 in prizemoney on offer over the eight races.
The Wagga track was rated a heavy nine on Monday but is expected to improve into the soft range with a favourable forecast for the remainder of the week.
