The third and final Stage 3 building is due for completion in early 2021.
The Murrumbidgee Local Health District says the new building will provide sub acute, ambulatory, community and primary health care services from a single site on the hospital's campus.
The car park at the hospital's main entry will be temporarily closed from September 7, as construction works are expected to include carparking, footpath, paving and landscaping.
MLHD chief executive Jill Ludford said the work on the health campus was being undertaken in a staged process to minimise disruptions.
The MLHD says additional public parking spaces have been made available in the northern car park off Edward Street.
Additional accessible car parking has been made available in front of the mental health unit.
Hospital staff who are working an afternoon shift will have access to an evening shuttle bus service to take them to their vehicles in surrounding streets.
Pedestrian access to the hospital's temporary main entry will be relocated to the footpath on Lewis Drive.
The MLHD has reminded drivers of the 10 kilometre an hour speed limit on the health campus and urged pedestrians to take care in the area.
