Nyssa Bailey stumbled across the personal notebook around the end of May near her Gurwood Street office.
"It was in the foyer of my office at Flourish, there's a little stairwell with a rock garden and the diary was just sitting on the granite bench there," she said.
After her efforts to help find the owner on Facebook in numerous Wagga community groups over the past few weeks, Ms Bailey said she just wanted to see the diary back where it belongs.
"I think keeping a diary is so important to lots of people, it's a way of keeping track of your life, logging memories and coping with issues, all in a judgement-free space," she said.
"The diary has some personal information in it and I feel that having that left around would be really nerve-racking for someone, especially when they don't know if anyone has it, who has it or who may have read it.
"I can just imagine it must be very special to someone, and I'd love to see it returned to the rightful owner."
The diary has a spiral-bound, blue-green marbled front cover with the words 'shine bright' written over a black background.
