Blake Jones has a strong book of six drives across Leeton's meeting on Tuesday.
It is the first time since March a meeting will be run away from Riverina Paceway as coronavirus restrictions start to lift.
The in-form Rocky Branach looms as his best chance but Jones believes plenty will be suited to the smaller circuit.
"It's good to be at Leeton," Jones said.
"It's less travel and it will be different going around on a half mile track for a change.
"A couple haven't drawn overly nice, but they get their chances, and a few others have drawn right where the smaller track is going to suit them."
Jones has a drive in each of the six races for five different trainers.
He will drive Master Jude and North Canam for Col Thomas.
Both have had one run back this preparation and Jones expects the promising Master Jude will be improved by a first up sixth.
"He wasn't too bad and he's a lot better horse if he finds the front," Jones said.
"He probably needed the run the other day and although he'd much prefer to lead I think the one nearly leads so he should get a good run through.
"We're just going to need a bit of luck late (from seven) so hopefully they put a bit of speed on."
Rocky Branach has been placed in his last three starts and after competing well in the Regional Championships series.
Jones expects he's found a much easier assignment.
"He keeps running into one a bit better at the moment," he said. "He's run into Mister Donald a couple of times and he's probably going to need a lot of tempo on early but he's back in grade a little bit there."
Jones is also hoping The Jay Doug can take advantage of barrier one after being placed in four of his nine Riverina starts.
"He gets a winnable race there," he said. "He trialled not too bad at Leeton a while back when I lead up on him and he rolled along in a decent time so I think drawn there if he holds up he should give them something hard to catch."
Jones also drives Abercrombie Flash for Errol Cochrane before finishing the night aboard Conrod Kenze for Peter Dennis.
