Or more precisely a lack of training.
Miracle Millie broke through for her first win at Wagga last week and the Wagga trainer is now looking to repeat the dose at Temora on Sunday.
While the writing on the wall that a breakthrough was in sight after consecutive placings, Roberts admitted her win was still a surprise.
"She had a bit of form but her best form was over the 500 when she flew home and run second," Roberts said.
"She had to drop back over 100 metres but they had their chance when they collared her on the corner coming around into the straight but she just kicked away on them again."
The Wagga trainer put her change of form down to not actually working the bitch as much.
Indeed like some humans during the coronavirus crisis the couch is the place you'll find Miracle Millie more often than not.
"It has taken a long time for her to settle down," Roberts said.
"The last five weeks she has been in the best form since I've had her as she just lays on the back lounge and I don't do anything with her.
"I used to work her everyday like I do with my other greyhounds and she did nothing.
"I couldn't get a run for her in a 400 maiden, as we only have them here occasionally, and couldn't get her in a 500 so I just left her on the lounge and kept nominating her.
"She run third in a 400 straight off two weeks on the lo, then had another two weeks on the lounge and run second and had another week on the lounge and won so I figured she could have another week on the lounge and see if it works again."
Miracle Millie has drawn box four in the Rick's Menswear Stakes (457m) at Temora's first meeting since regionalised racing was introduced.
He's not heading in too confident.
"It is a good field so she will have her work cut out," Roberts said. "If she begins like she did last week then she will be a chance but whether she can begin like that again I just don't know."
