Chris Waller, James Cummings, Gai Waterhouse and Ciaron Maher are just some of the country's finest trainers that have nominated multiple horses for next week's Gold Cup carnival.
Group one winner Best Of Days headlines the 26 nominations for the Wagga Gold Cup, with the Cantala Stakes winner one of two entries for global racing giant Godolphin.
Champion Sydney trainer Chris Waller nominated four horses for the Cup, as expected, while the emerging stable of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace entered two imported stayers in Mask Of Time and Lord Belvedere.
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott nominated Port Macquarie Cup winner Rapido Chaparro for the feature, as well as others for the Guineas and Queen of the South.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club chief executive Steve Keene was proud of the quality of the nominations across the entire Wagga Gold Cup carnival.
"The Cup has got a strong city flavour to it and a lot of quality," Keene said.
"The Town Plate is also high quality but with a few more horses that we've seen here before.
"It's really exciting. There is a lot of depth in the feature races that are around the Cup and the Plate as well. The prizemoney's fantastic and the trainers have noticed that and nominated accordingly."
The general public will not be allowed to attend the carnival next week due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prizemoney has also been reduced but Keene was pleased to see the two big changes did not impact the quality of horses nominated.
"It hasn't at all. We've got the majority of high profile trainers from around Australia," he said.
"We really appreciate their support and I think that's testament to what the carnival is that in these times that they're still willing to come and race on one of the best racing surfaces in Australia."
Kosciuszko winner Handle The Truth headed the Town Plate nominations, which also included the Bjorn Baker-trained Redouble, defending champion Ghostly and Group one performed Fell Swoop.
Top Corowa mare News Girl was also nominated.
The fields for the two days of the carnival will be out on Tuesday. The annual Gold Cup barrier draw will not go ahead like other years due to the coronavirus restrictions.
