Canberra were set to host their second game for competition points in the city against Newcastle at Equex Centre on April 18.
However the clash has been plunged into doubt as the coronavirus pandemic unfolds.
Playing the game behind closed doors was an option Wagga major Greg Conkey revealed on Friday, but more will be known in coming days.
Conkey spoke with Raiders chief executive Don Furner ahead of their round one clash and more meetings are on the agenda.
"They (Canberra) are going to be looking at various options from tonight and no doubt we will have those discussions with him early next week as to what is going to happen as far as the Wagga match is concerned," Conkey said.
"I think the NRL is also involved in those discussions and it depends on what they determine as well."

Conkey said it would be extremely disappointing for fans from the region to miss out, but with the Australian government encouraging gatherings of over 500 people to be cancelled there would impact a large number of events.
Canberra went ahead their home game against Gold Coast, where Kangaroos product Jaimin Jolliffe made his NRL debut for the Titans.
Wagga's game attracted 10,079 fans with more expected this year after improvements to the ground.
Wagga Rugby League have been working hard as they continue to revamp the ground to provide an even better experience.
Chairman Warren Barclay said that wouldn't change despite the current uncertainty.
"Wagga Rugby League will continue to make improvements to the ground as we still have to abide by our contract with council to provide the facility," he said.
"Of course we've still got the Group Nine season coming up, which won't be impacted, and we are working towards that date.
"It is out of our hands but should the NRL decide to stop games without crowds then I'm sure between council and Raiders they will work out a compromise as to which direction they will head in the future."
