The Kangaroos had followed the example of The Rock-Yerong Creek, who made a successful bid to operate under a 38-point limit this season rather than 36 points.
Temora have since withdrawn the application.
"We have. We feel that we're going to fit everyone in under the points system as it is," Wooden said.
"That's something the club will look at every year. It depends on the local base. If you lose a few local players, that's what hurts.
"But we feel we can fit what we've got in there this year and we'll put a strong team together."
Charles Sturt University have also expressed interest in applying for extra points but president Cam Humphries said the club will wait and assess its list once the academic year gets underway.
Temora's departures include former assistant coach Luke Gerhard and Canberra-based midfielders Kieran Shea and Sam Jensen who both served four years at Temora, reducing their points impact.
Ruckman Joseph Tegart also departed and midfielder Will McMartin is cleared back to Northern Riverina League club West Wyalong.
The Kangaroos bolstered their list signing former Canberra Demons forward Tom Faul as well Haydn Richardson, Matt Kelly and Simon Quinn. All will travel to play.
Temora finished fourth last year but struggled for depth. Their reserve grade had the worst percentage of any team across all three grades.
Wooden is pleased with their early pre-season preparation.
"It's been really good. This is probably one of the better pre-seasons since I've been at the club,' he said.
"You learn every year what works and what doesn't ... but we hit the ground running in December and had three or four sessions before Christmas.
"The travelling boys are coming out for training this Friday again which is good and it's what we need. We need to understand how they play and for them to understand how we play. But having said that the players we've picked up are experience footballers. They've played a lot of senior footy and I don't think it will take them long to adapt."
Temora play East Wagga-Kooringal in round one.
Before that, the Kangaroos will have trial games against Holbrook in early March and then Cootamundra two weeks before the season kicks off against the Hawks.
