The Blues have only lost once this season, and comfortably accounted for the Bulldogs in their last match, but the weather-affected clash has opened up the possibility of a draw.
Perry is looking to capitalise to help their cause for playing finals.
"It's a huge game," Perry said.
"It's weird now that it is a one-dayer with two-day rules so you could jag a couple of points from a draw, but it is essential from our game and the two other games that if you want to make finals you need to get at least a couple of points for them to stay in it or for us to jump away.
"It is essential for us and we need two points minimum, if not the six, to keep the buffer and hopefully get us into finals."
The Bulldogs are currently four points clear of fifth-placed Colts with two matches to play.
Wagga RSL have made one change as Jack Carey comes into the team for Henry Standley.
After the 73-run loss to the Blues last time out, Perry has focusing on trying not to let scoreboard pressure build.
"They probably have the best line up on paper and they can all bat so you need to bowl well to keep them to a score you think you can get," Perry said.
"They bowl to their plans well so it's important you turn the strike over and don't get bogged down against Sykesy (Mitch Sykes) or Cookey (Nathan Cooke) or someone like that to keep the scoreboard ticking.
"The runs accumulate by themselves if you don't get bogged down.
"That is one of our keys."
