Doig will miss the clash with Wagga City on Saturday after the issue flared up again.
Captain Isaac Cooper admitted it was a big blow for the side.
"I think he is done for the season and as a young fast bowler is it not good to see," Cooper said. "Hopefully he bounces back."
Lake Albert sit last on the ladder ahead of their clash with third place Wagga City, but are only six points adrift of the top four.
After an interrupted return to the season, the Bulls are looking forward to the challenge of taking on the in-form Cats.
"Everyone is keen as obviously we haven't played a lot of cricket yet this year," Cooper said.
"The last game they beat us and played very well so we no what we need to improve on to hopefully go the distance with them."
Cooper wants the bowling attack to stick to their plans early on and execute with the bat for the full 40 overs.
Danny Webber is also out of their line up with Rhauri MacLeod and Sam Quinton coming in.
