A man is facing a raft of charges after allegedly reaching speeds closing in on 200km/h with three children in the car and tearing through a Wagga golf course.

The driver came to the attention of law enforcement on Monday afternoon after he was spotted by highway patrol officers travelling at 193km/h on the Olympic Highway - a 100kmh/h zone - near Uranquinty, police said.
When officers turned to stop the vehicle, they lost sight of it, however the car was seen soon after travelling down a side road near the Wagga City Golf Club.

A perimeter was established around the golf course, which is adjacent to the Sturt Highway, as police called in more assistance.
"To avoid police, the driver allegedly smashed through a fence, travelled down a fairway and through several other fences, before the vehicle stopped," NSW Police said in a statement.
"Police saw the driver and three children, running and entering a shed.
"The driver, a 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga police station where he was charged with 14 offences."
The Hebersham man is facing three counts of not giving particulars to owner of damaged property, two each of driving recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerously and unlawfully possessing number plates, and single charges of exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h, driving a vehicle with defective brakes, driving an unsafe/unserviceable vehicle on the road, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, having unauthorised number plates and possessing goods believed to be stolen.
The children, aged 8, 9 and 12, have been returned to their mother and the man is due to appear before Wagga Local Court on Tuesday.
