Mixed teams in under-10, 12, 14 and 16 age groups will compete over the two days, with around 200 competitors expected locally, as well as from outlying areas including Harden, Griffith and the south coast.
"We've had interest from Sydney and Canberra, but because it's a two day competition they can only make one day so that gives us scope for the future," Wagga Futsal coach Sam Gray said.
"The feedback we got from them was there's not enough of these type of competitions for futsal, and with 28 teams we're looking at about 200 players.
"People outside of Wagga are starting to hear about it and with the backing of Football NSW, Wagga Futsal will continue to offer this competition.
"If you think about the 42 players we had from Wagga representing at state level, I'd say out of those 40 will be playing this weekend."
The competition will be run over a round robin format, with the top four teams playing off for spots in Sunday's grand finals which begin at 4pm.
All players must be registered with the appropriate futsal bodies, Football NSW, Capital Football or Football Victoria.
