The former Junee reinsman received the Junee Sports Award of the Year on Australia Day.
The 20-year-old was in town to take part in the Carnival Of Cups meeting that night and was thrilled to be recognised.
"It's good and a big honour," Hart said.
"There were plenty of big achievements from the locals throughout the year so it was good to come home and win that award. I hold it in high stead that's for sure."
Hart tasted plenty of group success including combining with uncle Trevor White to take out the NSW Breeders Challenge Regional final with Western Secret.
He also won the first Wagga Pacers Cup at the new Riverina Paceway with Beetson in April.
Hart represented NSW in the Australasian Young Drivers Series in New Zealand finishing second but as the first Australian over the line he received an invitation to take part in the famed Guldklockan (Gold Watch) series.
He heads to Solvalla in December and expects a very different kind of racing.
"It will be a good trip and something different over there," Hart said.
"They say their trotters are nice over there.
"I think it is going to be up to minus 10 so I'll need my thermal gear on and all that sort of stuff.
"I'll probably do a bit of travelling while I'm over there which should be good."

LEETON Pacers Cup winner Clara Clare has been given her shot at a group one and will line up in the Ladyship Cup at Melton on Saturday.
Clara Clare won the Leeton feature on January 1 one for Ian Livermore before finishing second in the Temora Pacers Cup.
She has drawn 11 in the mares feature.
There is plenty of Riverina interest in the $100,000 race.
Hows The Memory, bred and owned by Wagga's Dennis and Jo Howe, is coming off a third at Menangle last time out when stablemate Bettor Enforce paced the mile in 1:48.9.
Man Hands has also gained a run after initially being the emergency.
It will be her first start after being transferred from Terry Coelli's stable.
Blake Jones takes the drive.
Meanwhile former Temora reinsman Rickie Alchin has drawn the outside of the front row with Tough Monarch in the $250,000 Great Southern Star on the same program.

VETERAN Yanco trainer David Eurell was given a much-needed boost with Fairy Tinkabell winning at Menangle on Tuesday.
The mare clocked a career-best mile rate of 1:51.6 with the 7.1-metre win her fifth from 14 starts.
Eurell was hospitalised over the weekend but had plenty of help from fellow horsemen to ensure the stable kept running.

RIVERINA trainers didn't leave Menangle empty handed on Saturday either.
Wayne Sullivan finished second behind Vincenzina with Gee Gee Blinxs in the Evolution Series for fillies.
Steve Harris' Toya Lombo finished second behind Karinya Rocco in the colts and geldings final with Bruce Harpley third with Slick Blaster.

BLAKE Micallef continued his purple patch with a win at Canberra on Tuesday.
