Bupa moved 80 residents to age care homes in Canberra via coach on January 3 after being advised by emergency services that it was too risky for them to remain in town.
"Thanks to the tireless work of Bupa's local team and the support of the Rural Fire Service, residents have safely returned home this week," a company statement said on Friday.
"The home has been thoroughly cleaned and checked to ensure all traces of smoke or ash were removed.
"Bupa Tumut would like to thank our residents, their friends and families for their patience and support over the past few weeks."
Tumut Bupa staff joined the residents on their journey to Canberra and the coaches were stocked with food, water and medical equipment.
Bupa also this month announced a disaster relief package that includes a $10,000 donation to the Tumut RFS, six months of premium relief for eligible Bupa Health Insurance customers and support for employees and their families who have been affected by the fires.
