A teenage boy has tragically died after being hit by a truck while out walking in the western Riverina.

A 17-year-old boy is believed to have been walking along Kidman Way near Tharbogang, just west of Griffith, when he was struck and killed by a passing truck at around 9.10pm on Monday.
The Kidman Way was closed during the night as emergency services tended to the scene.
Roads are now open, however traffic was being diverted in both directions via Brown Road and Old Well Road.
In other news
Southbound road trains were directed to use Tabbita Lane, Bringagee Road and Brogdan Road, to return to Brown Road and Kidman Way.
Emergency services were called to the accident, and crime scene investigators examined the area.
Enquiries are currently being made by detectives about the cause of the impact.
