The extreme heat combined with the smokey haze that surrounded Wagga on Thursday led officials to call off the fifth and final round at Conolly Rugby Park.
"In the interest of player safety in both the extreme heat and air quality due to the smoke in Wagga, the decision has been made by both SIRU and the schools involved to call off this afternoons games," a Southern Inland Rugby Union statement read.
The games will be recorded as nil-all draws given there is insufficient time to play the games before next week's finals.
It means that Mater Dei Catholic College will take on arch-rivals Kildare Catholic College in the final next Thursday.
Mater Dei moved through the round stage undefeated. Kildare's only loss came at the hands of Mater Dei in the second round.
Mater Dei came from behind to down Kildare 17-10 on that occasion.
There may also be a play-off for third between The Riverina Anglican College and Wagga High School.
SIRU did not return The Daily Advertiser's calls on Thursday to confirm the finals structure.
