Last year's preliminary finalists are yet to win a match through the first five rounds following a six-wicket loss on Saturday.
Despite losing Dave Bolton (three) cheaply, Kooringal went on to post 7-152 from their 20 oversbut Saints had enough batting power to complete the chase with three balls to spare.
Coach Justin Ward was pleased to come away with the result.
"It was really good," Ward said. "It's pleasing to be set a total and chase it down.
"It's a good thing to know we can bat under pressure."
With the strong wind and short boundary at Harris Park the bulk of the scoring was done through one side of the field.
Sixes reigned supreme, and the ball was hit out of the park on a number of occasions, as both teams found some form with the bat.
Andrew Dutton top scored with 45 for Colts while Nathanael Mooney (38) and Tom Cox (22) got Colts off to a good start.
However Saints were able to peg them back late with Tom Williams (3-23) and Dave Garness (2-14) the most successful bowlers.
In response captain Beck Frostick made 40 while Stuart Slocombe (37), James Evans (32 not out) and Kyle Buckley (24) helped the Saints move within a victory of the top four.
Ward was pleased to have so many contributors.
"It was a team effort and that is what we've based ourselves on this year," he said. "We want contributions from everyone."
