The landing site was originally expected to be closed for up to five weeks for repainting, starting from the end of September, but reopened on Thursday.
During the closure period, temporary arrangements saw retrieval helicopters use Wagga Airport.
The helipad, on level seven of the main building, was completed in 2015 as part of the $431 million Wagga Base Hospital precinct redevelopment.
During its recent shutdown, contractors removed all the old paintwork and prepared the concrete, followed by the application and curing of the new paintwork, a Murrumbidgee Local Health District spokesperson said.
For most of this year, there have been at least six helicopter landings each month on top of the hospital building.
