The Southern Highlands visitor has a strong hand in the lucrative series with four runners split across the two heats at Wagga on Friday.
Clayton is no stranger to making the trip to Wagga for their feature meetings, and set a new 400 metre track record when Bit Flash won the Butch Pertzel Memorial in May,.
He rates littermates Fierce Fran and No Problem Here the best of his chances.
Both have come up with box one.
He rated Fierce Fran has top pick after see contested the heats of the Wagga Gold Cup in May.
"Fierce Fran is going really good.
"She is up in the grade at Wentworth Park and loves the one box.
"When I raced her there previously she was coming back from a seasonal spell and it took her a long time to come back to being a dog.
"The season really affected her and she is back near her best now.
"At her best she is a really good little bitch."
No Problem Here comes into the series with an impressive record.
He's won five of his seven starts and has finished second on the other two occasions.
No Problem Here had his five-race winning streak snapped at Nowra last time out, but the Sutton Forest trainer believes he's well suited by the red box.
"He goes good early but he's very strong," Clayton said.
"He will go around the first turn there very strong."
Winnie The Que has drawn alongside No Problem Here in the first heat while Gelignite Jim has drawn the eight up against Fierce Fran.
Fierce Fran is the only greyhound in his quartet who have raced on the track, but they've all had a feel for the track after trialling there on Sunday.
Clayton believes it's an imperative.
"I like racing at Wagga but you've got to trail your dogs there," he said.
"They have got to have a look.
"Most tracks they need to, but particularly Wagga with the shape of the track.
"I don't think there is anything wrong with the track but it is a bit different and the first turn is different to most other turns."
He believes they greyhounds perform better after having a look at the track.
Clayton will be seeing red on Friday with Onyx Chief and Ella The Weapon also coming up with number one.
Ella The Weapon will start inside kennelmate Brilliant Major in the Simaroo Lodge Stakes (320m) however Clayton is worried about Ella The Weapon's tendency to run up the track at the start.
"She (Ella The Weapon) gets right off the track and is a wider runner but she is a very quick beginner and will probably spear out, shift up the track and let him in underneath her," he said.
"He is one of the quickest dogs I've got."
The first of 11 races get under way at 6.01pm with the first of the Leo Hartley Memorial heats to run at 7.44pm.
