Kooringal Stud's resident stallion passed away on Friday, aged 21, due to suspected heart failure.
The son of Zedative stood 17 seasons at stud and sired five group one winners and 24 stakes winners.
Kooringal Stud principal Stuart Lamont said Magic Albert was not only a great loss for his stud but the entire breeding industry.
"Magic Albert has been a stalwart of Australian breeding for many years, he was in wonderful condition and he continued to look bright and very content," Lamont said.
Magic Albert joined Kooringal Stud in 2016, after having great success at the Hunter Valley.
The Group One winners he sired were Albert The Fat, Fighting Warrior, Ilovethiscity, Magic Cape and Aramco.
In total, Magic Albert sired over 600 winners and in excess of $49 million in prizemoney.
He was also renowned as a sire of quality broodmares.
On the track, he won seven of his 13 starts and amassed $471,000 in prizemoney. Trained by Albert Stapleford, his feature wins came in the group two Peter Pan Stakes and the group three Spring Stakes.
