Eleven unanswered goals in two quarters of football did the damage as Tigers inflicted the Demons' sixth consecutive defeat, 12.16 (88) to 5.6 (36) at Crossroads Oval.
As impressive as a performance it was from the ladder leaders, it was equally as disappointing from the Demons, who showed how fall they have fallen from grace this season.
Although undermanned, the reigning premiers did not fire a shot early and apart from a 15 minute-period in the second quarter, looked far from the team that defeated Tigers earlier in the season.
Tigers opened up a 35-point lead at quarter-time, with the Demons unable to put a score on the board until Luke Murray goalled in the 11th minute of the second quarter.
Collingullie-GP had the better of the second quarter and closed the margin to 23 points at half-time. It was only short-lived however as Tigers kicked another six unanswered goals in the third term to open up a match-winning 63-point buffer.
The Demons kicked the only two goals of a scrappy final term but the bird had well and truly flown.
Wagga Tigers coach Troy Maiden was rapt to come away with such a strong win.
"As I said to the guys after the game, to play Collingullie and walk away with a 50-point win, yeah it's pleasing," Maiden said.
"It's tough to come out here and win like that. They still have good players in their side, absolutely, and they certainly stuck it to us at times today."
Maiden loved the way his team started the game, and the way they put it to bed in the third quarter.
"A focus for us was doing that," he said.
"We didn't want to turn it into a scrap early, we wanted to really concentrate on playing our style of footy early and have a quick start and I think we did that so that was pleasing.
"It probably turned into a bit of a scrap in that second quarter, and maybe we didn't do enough to change that, but to come out after half-time like we did, that was our focus again, getting back to playing our footy."
There was some cause for concern at Tigers with Tom Osmotherly (ankle) and Jacob Osbeiston (hamstring) failing to finish the game but Maiden said both were precautionary measures.
Brendy Myers was outstanding for Tigers through the midfield, dominating the clearances, while Tom Keogh kicked three goals and had one of his better games in yellow and black.
Josh Gaynor also provided a strong target in attack for Tigers and kicked four goals.
Blake Harper and Daniel Frawley continued their good seasons and were the Demons' best on another dirty day.
