The Hoppers overcame an early deficit to avenge a 44-31 loss to the Swans in round five and move to fourth on 28 points, with fifth-placed Griffith (24) narrowly ahead of Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong and Leeton Whitton (22).
It snapped a three-game winning streak for Griffith, who travel to Leeton in a virtual elimination final this week.
"It was a very tough game, at the end of the day it came down to little mistakes and who could capitalise on them," Coolamon coach Claudia Barton said.
"I know as a team we didn't play perfect netball but we capitalised on their mistakes and vice versa, we just came away with it.
"Trailing at the start of the game made it hard for us, but our persistence came through."
Barton said they prepared expecting a physical and gruelling encounter against the Swans, who showed their quality by becoming the only team to beat Collingullie-Glenfield Park this season a month ago.
"We knew they were going to be tough and physical and they're one of those teams that toil away and never give up," Barton said.
"Ruby Alchin was persistent throughout the whole game, our shooters were on and every rebound they fought hard for.
"The centre court connected really well, the flow from defence to attackers worked great and that's what we've been working on."
In other matches Collingullie-Glenfield Park thrashed Narrandera 75-26, Leeton Whitton accounted for Turvey Park 55-44 and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes beat GGGM 55-33.
This Saturday's round is headlined by a top three showdown between Collingullie-Glenfield Park and Wagga Tigers.
