In reality, the tower crane will be the focus of a training exercise by NSW Ambulance and CPB Contractors.
The training will involve a series of simulated scenarios using the upper cabin of the 48.9-metre crane.
NSW Ambulance is the primary agency for vertical rescues in Wagga and the tower crane offers paramedics an ideal opportunity to practice emergency procedures from a height in an industrial setting.
This exercise also involves an emergency shutdown by CPB Contractors of the construction site to test and evaluate its emergency processes.
As part of the exercise, scheduled for between noon and 4pm, there will be a number of NSW Ambulance vehicles near the site at the corner of Edward and Docker streets.
