Luff has extended his lead to nine in the new-look Weissel Medal format with just five rounds remaining in the season.
Luff has moved to 44 points with Southcity captain-coach Kyle McCarthy and reigning Weissel Medallist Zac Masters leading the chasing pack on 35.
Brothers playmaker Dylan McLachlan has moved into fourth and sits on 32 points.
Luff held a two-point lead at the last update after eight rounds but has doubled his tally during that period, despite the Tigers losing twice during that time.
McCarthy, Masters and McLachlan have also made significant moves during that time.
