Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said officers arrested a 28-year-old man at an address in Turvey Park.
"It's alleged that the male at the end of last week had attempted to break into two houses in the area [on Hodson Ave]," he said.
"He wasn't able to gain access to the properties so we have since charged that male with four offences.
"Attempted break and enter, entering land with intent, and breach of bail."
Inspector Spliet said CCTV footage provided was used during the investigation and it was great to have the man "arrested and bail refused" and off the streets.
"It's great to see results around property crime," he said.
"It's only a small percentage of people in the community who are committing these offences."
