Porter, who made the move from Farrer League outfit North Wagga to the Lions this year, fractured her wrist in the dying stages of Saturday's 35-32 win over Turvey Park.
The winner of the Marilyn Brooks medal as the Farrer League's best and fairest player the past three years is confident the Lions can step up in her absence.
However, the loss of the defender is a huge blow after a slow start, with the weekend's victory against Bulldogs just their second in six games this year.
They pressed unbeaten Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes in a draw the week before in a sign the new-look side is starting to hit its straps.
"I'm sure they'll be alright," Porter said.
"It (injury) was just from a clash in the last 30 seconds or so. It was pretty unlucky, but when I went down straight away I knew it was gone."
Meanwhile, fourth-placed Coolamon face a daunting task at Collingullie-Glenfield Park on Saturday.
The Demons warmed up for the clash with a 51-41 win over defending premiers Wagga Tigers last round.
The Hoppers will be without Lilly Buchanan due to state championship commitments.
Buchanan was named best on court playing defence in Kildare Catholic College's Tracey Gunson Shield final win over Mater Dei Catholic College last week, but plays goal shooter for Coolamon.
Coolamon dispatched winless Narrandera 59-9 last week, while Leeton-Whitton edged Griffith 62-57.
"We'll just have to keep the pressure up," Coolamon coach Claudia Barton said.
