The Dragons proved too strong for winless Cootamundra, taking a 48-16 win at Nixon Park on Sunday.
Temora scored seven tries to one in the first half to step up the victory.
Coach Sam Elwin wasn't thrilled with their second half, but the damage had already been done.
"The first half set it up and we laid a good platform," Elwin said.
"The second half we played very scrappy and it was lucky that we did start well as otherwise it could have been a different ball game."
Starr was among his side's best while front rower Sipa Korken was strong up front with his best display yet.
Temora remain a win clear of the chasing pack as they look to secure a finals berth for the first time in a decade.
They are a win clear of Brothers and Junee, who they face after the general bye.
Elwin believes the clash at Laurie Daley Oval will be a massive one.
