East Wagga-Kooringal might be unbeaten and on top of the ladder but coach Matt Hard is keen to see improvement on Saturday against Charles Sturt University as the Hawks head into a three week break between games.

After a win against Barellan, EWK are back at Gumly Oval to host the Bushpigs before the representative break and a club bye.
"It's looking for improvement all over the park and just getting that consistency. It's been a bit up and down in the way we're playing so it's pretty important for us this week to play a good standard of footy," Hard said.
The Hawks won three tight games against CSU last season, including an elimination final, and are expecting another tough game after the Bushpigs narrowly missed a win against North Wagga.
"They were probably unlucky, from all reports, not to get the four points last week and I think they pushed Temora all the way very early in the season, so they're up and about and they're going to be hard to beat, that's for sure," Hard said.
The Hawks have lost Danny Bromham to a calf injury while fellow midfielder Sam Hodges and ruckman Nick Hull are in some doubt.
"Our 17s are flying at the minute and playing some really good footy so there's some young fellas there knocking on the door and the twos aren't going too bad so we think we've got some depth and we're not going to panic if we're missing a few," Hard said.
While the onus is on senior players to lift the Hawks when they drop in intensity, Hard has also been pleased with his team's ability to find a big play from anywhere in the group, rather than rely on a select few.
"Everybody is guilty of being in and out of the games at times and that's probably been a positive as well as an area to work on - different players have stood up at different times," Hard said.
"But we need to get that consistency across the board. You aim it at our leaders but it's got to be something the whole group aims to improve."
