SOUTH Wagga president Stephen Burns has described lack of player numbers which forced them to forfeit Sunday's clash against Young as a "perfect" storm, adamant the club won't have dramas fielding a first grade team for the rest of the season.

After conceding 20 goals and failing to score over the first three rounds, player injuries and work commitments gave the Warriors no choice but to pull the pin on their road trip to face the Lions.
The week before against Tolland, South Wagga finished the game with ten fit men after two players suffered injuries during the match.
"I don't imagine we'll see anything happen like this again. It was a series of unfortunate things where we unfortunately weren't able to field a team, a perfect storm I guess," Burns said.
"I'm confident we'll get a few back this week. We'll certainly be able to field teams in all grades.
"At the moment it's about keeping motivation levels up. A lot of our guys are newly arrived and a lot of them haven't played outdoor football before.
"We're not going into games with the expectation of beating the top sides. It's more about improving from week to week, keeping the team morale up and I'm sure the results will improve as we progress."
After the loss to Tolland, South Wagga coach Ben Holt praised his team's resilience.
"There's not one person in the team that's complaining about their teammates or the referees or the coach," he said.
"I've told my team I'm really impressed by their strength of character.
"All amateur football clubs will have times where they struggle for players. To watch how the players have dealt with that and are still working hard for each other, maybe I wouldn't have seen that if we had enough players.
"Maybe that's the silver lining."
The Warriors are scheduled to play Wagga United at Wagga Showgrounds this Sunday.
